India vs England Live Score, 2nd Test Day 2: India In Trouble As Virat Kohli Falls To Chris Woakes

Live cricket score India vs England, Lord’s Test: The opening day of the second Test was called off due to continuous rain at Lord’s.

As rain continued to play a spoilsport, both teams took tea with just two overs being bowled in the second session on Day 2 of the Lord’s Test. In the 12 balls of cricket played, India lost the crucial wicket of Cheteshwar Pujara (1), who got run-out after a horrible call from skipper Virat Kohli. Earlier, in the first session, India were reeling at 11 for the loss of two wickets with early lunch being taken due to rain. After a complete wash-out on day one, England skipper Joe Root won the toss on the second day, putting India into bat in overcast conditions. Fast bowler James Anderson utilised the conditions to perfection, wreaking havoc on the Indian openers. The 36-year-old removed Murali Vijay for a duck in the first over of the inning with a brilliant away swinger. Just before rain interrupted the play in the seventh over, Anderson dismissed KL Rahul for 8 runs with yet another out-swinger. Rahul managed to get the faintest of edges with wicket-keeper Jos Buttler doing the rest. India skipper Virat Kohli and Cheteshwar Pujara were unbeaten at the crease when the rain gods came calling, bringing a stop to the game. Rained stopped and covers were taken off after over an hour delay and just when it seemed that play would start, the skies opened again, forcing the umpires to take an early lunch. (LIVE SCORECARD)
